The breathtaking and one of the best adventure game series of all time, The Assassins Creed by Ubisoft, is expected to release its next version, Assassins Creed Revelations on November 2011. After the grand success of the three former games,
Ubisoft will release its fourth installment in the Assassins Creed series, Assassins Creed Revelations, on November 15 2011. It is an action packed third person adventure game with a brilliant plot and a background story.
The game will follow the series’ standard open-world gameplay. New gameplay additions include an item called the hookblade, which can be used to zipline across the city or grab enemies to yank them in for a combo attack. The hookblade reportedly speeds up navigation by around 30 percent. Along with the hookblade, Ezio will also have 300 different bomb variations at his disposal, which will be craftable.
Multiplayer gameplay is also making a return in Revelations. The mode expands the basics of online modes from Brotherhood with new characters and locations. Players will be able to customize their characters’ appearance and weapons, as well as start a guild and create its unique coat of arms. Matchmaking and game interface will be improved. Ubisoft says that while the component is returning, they’re putting greater focus towards the narrative, as it’s the heart of the franchise. As players level up in the game, they will move up in their Abstergo Templar rank and gain access to more information about the company. New multiplayer modes will be added to the already existing modes, including “story-oriented quests”. Some multiplayer maps will be based in the island of Rhodes
We live in a glorious time where video games are bigger and more mainstream than ever, allowing us to live out elaborate fantasies and experience worlds never thought possible. But for all that games have done to allow us some sort of morality choice during play, very few actually celebrate, or even encourage, living a vegetarian lifestyle.
Have you sat down and thought about your favorite game characters for a bit and seen if they line up with your own beliefs? Sure, we all want to be the hero (and maybe the villain every now and again), but do we have any characters that are really cyphers for our own personalities and beliefs? Let’s take Mario as a simple example. He’s as harmless as they come in terms of family appeal, and while he does spend a lot of times eating mushrooms, leaves, flowers, and other mostly organic foods, he’s known to love a good spaghetti and meatballs when he’s not saving the princess. Link from The Legend of Zelda seems like a pretty gown to earth kind of character, but when you think about it has runs around slaughtering the native creatures around the area and stealing their hearts to regain health. It looks all cartoony and innocent, but bottom line, he feeds on the hearts of his enemies.
Things only get worse the further you look back, as the standard healing item in games tended to be meat. In Castlevania, Simon Belmot would regularly find whole roasted chickens inside of walls and somehow get healed from devouring them (vegetarian or not, eating random meat found in an old wall is not a wise decision).
For Nintendo Wii game system users, the cost of replacing broken DVDs can be very high especially since each new DVD copy costs a minimum of $50. If you multiply that amount with the number of overused DVDs that you have in your archive, the entire amount could be very expensive. This is not to mention that discs are vulnerable to almost all sorts of problems like read errors, scratches, cracks and prints. Your expenses could double in no time at all and your frustration level could undoubtedly be very high.
With a game burner, you no longer have to worry about overspending on your Wii games. It is an application that allows you to download and copy games from any source and burn them into your own blank DVD. It is the most practical solution to every Wii gamer’s problem – how to make backup copies of his favorite game.
One popular game Burner software has already received 2.6 million downloads worldwide since its release in 2008. Users love the fact that this application is so very easy to use. The application’s screen is very practical and does not need much figuring out. In fact, the entire program is so simple that users do not even need to change or enter any layerbreak settings as the program is 100% dedicated to burn and copy Wii and Xbox 360 games.
Software editors and critics have also raved about this product. Since its release in 2008, this game burner has already amassed more than 10 awards from different entities. This is proof that it is one of the most trusted applications in the world today.
As we all know, Rockstar revolutionized the open world format with their Grand Theft Auto games. Interestingly enough, I also recently played Mafia II, which was basically designed to be similar to GTA, so plugging into L.A. Noire felt like plugging into an old familiar friend. Although this is the better friend, no questions asked. This is the same time period (late 40?s/early 50?s), but the game environment is much more detailed and the city of Los Angeles comes alive at your fingertips.
Unlike most Rockstar games, you actually play the good guy in this one, a police officer with the LAPD. This cop (who later becomes a detective) is making his name on the hard streets of 1950?s L.A. And L.A. is absolutely stunning in this game. It’s almost like being there. The environments are impeccably detailed and driving around the city feels extremely realistic. Every detail has been thought of, from billboards to landmarks to street lights to people getting in your way when you’re trying to answer a call.
When you arrive at the crime scene, you go into detective mode. You search the area for clues. When you find them, you look them over carefully. Any important details are written in your notebook for later use.
But the most interesting thing about crime scenes? You get to interview witnesses. And based on their facial expressions, you have to determine if they’re lying or not.
I don’t think any other game has gone this far with the AI. Fortunately, the facial expressions are so well detailed and animated in-game that if you know the little things people do when they lie, you will have no problem making sure you ask all the right questions during an interview or interrogation.
I’ve never taken flight lessons. I’ll never become a real pilot. Yet from the comfort of my couch, I’m able to fly through the blue skies, pulling up the throttle and making loops. Flight simulation games are a great way to learn to fly a plane, whether you are doing it for sheer enjoyment or because it’s something that you’re looking at doing for a living.
Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo all manufacture flight simulation games. Some even have special controllers, just like the steering wheels for racing games. It’s a very realistic feel, especially when there’s a large scale television to stare into, allowing me more room to soar through the sky and learn to stick my landing. Many of the games allow me to choose the kind of plane that I want to pilot for the day. I’ll be able to fly WWII fighter jets, Cessnas, floatplanes, and even an Airbus.
Some of the games allow a better feel of actually piloting a plane whereas others focus on simply flying. I prefer the ones where I can feel like I’m sitting in the cockpit with full access of the controls.
No matter the plane, I’ll be able to pick from a variety of backgrounds and scenarios to fly into. I can fly over Germany, France, New York or simply a blue sky. I can fly in rain or shine, or into enemy fire. There’s a flight simulation game for everyone. I like to change it up a little bit. I can take my aggression out on the Germans in a WWII simulation game and tease my flights of fantasy by flying into outer space and checking out other galaxies.
